Carcinoid NETs Conference 2007 Norfolk Virginia The annual Carcinoid NETs Conference was held in Norfolk Virginia on 27-29 September. With over 500 attendees, this was one of the largest Carcinoid NETs events ever held, addressing a broad range of topics for an audience that included patients, caregivers and physicians. The slogan for the City of Norfolk is "Life, Celebrated Daily", and indeed the conference was a celebration of life. Everyone had a great time. There were both daytime and evening presentations, and many concurrent sessions, so attendees benefited from a wealth of information and ample opportunity to address their questions to the leading specialist physicians. The recordings listed below were produced at Carcinoid NETs Conference 2007 with generous support from the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation. In line with its mission of "encouraging and supporting research and education on carcinoid and related neuroendocrine cancers", the Foundation has for many years produced recordings of major carcinoid medical conferences. However this is the first time that patients and caregivers who did not attend were able to gain access to the recordings within just days after the conference. These recordings also include technical advances that allow viewers to see high resolution full-motion screen displays, and in fact the cursor moves as the presenter explains the content of each slide. These features are particularly useful when complex illustrations or diagnostic images are shown. Viewing the presentations requires Flash and Windows Media Player. The presentations are best viewed in Internet Explorer, but will play in Firefox or Mozilla browsers if the Windows Media Player is properly configured. MP3 audio-only versions are also available (just right click and 'Save As' to download these files). Please note that not all the conference sessions were recorded.
